FAQs

    • What is ActivTag?
ActivTag is a mobile laser sports service that transforms indoor courts and open spaces into high-energy laser tag arenas. Our cutting-edge gear and innovative game modes are designed for ages 7 and up.

    • Where do you operate?
We currently operate in South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales. Check our locations or upcoming events page for specific venues.

    • What age groups is ActivTag suitable for?
ActivTag is designed for ages 7 to adult. Some events may be tailored to specific age brackets, which will be noted in the event details.

    • How do I book a session?
For our public sessions, simply head to the events page on our website and purchase your tickets there.

    • Can I buy tickets on the day?
Some events may offer limited walk-in spots, but pre-booking is highly recommended to secure your place.

    • Do you offer group discounts or family passes?
Currently we do not offer group discounts.

    • What is your refund policy?
Refunds are available up to 24 hours before the event. Within 24 hours, we offer credits for future events (subject to availability).

    • What’s the difference between ActivTag and traditional laser tag?
ActivTag brings a competitive sports-style twist to laser tag. We use pro-grade gear, run team-based objectives, and play in dynamic mobile arenas anywhere.

    • What equipment do players use?
Each player is equipped with a lightweight vest and phasor from one of the industries leading manufacturers. Everything is provided—no special clothing needed, just enclosed footwear!

    • What game formats do you offer?
We run a variety of games including Capture the Flag, Base Clash and Base Flags. To learn more, head to the “Formats & Arenas” page on the website.

    • Is the game safe?
Absolutely. Our equipment uses safe infrared beams (like a TV remote), and our games are fully supervised by trained staff who will be keeping their eyes peeled for unsafe play. All of the walls we use in our setup are also padded for extra protection.

    • How early should I arrive?
Please arrive 15–20 minutes before your session for check-in and briefing.

    • What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes are best.

    • Do you provide water or snacks?
We recommend bringing your own water bottle and snacks. Some venues may have food and drink available.

    • Do you offer private events or parties?
Yes! We can absolutely run private events, we just require a powered, undercover space of around 150m2. A hall or gym is typically the perfect spot. We’ve even ran events in libraries using the bookshelves for cover!

    • Can you set up at my location?
Absolutely. We specialize in mobile arena setups—courts, parks, halls, and backyards. Reach out to discuss your space, though at a minimum we require access to power and roughly 150m2.

    • Do you run tournaments or leagues?
Each of our events is ran in a mini-tournament style, though we do wish to run more serious tournaments and leagues in the future.

    • What happens if it rains?
For the most part all of our events are indoors so weather conditions shouldn’t effect us! On the off chance we do an outdoor event in an undercover area, we may play it safe and cancel the session to protect our equipment.

    • What if an event is cancelled?
For any cancellations on our part, we will provide refunds or credits to book a future session.
